The second generation BMW Z4 called E89 was produced from 2009 to 2016. It is the fourth model in the Z Series, and it replaced the E85/E86 Z4. It was also the first Z Series model to use a retractable hardtop roof meaning there were no longer separate roadster and coupé versions of the car.
