The first generation BMW Z4 roadsters and coupes called E85/E86 based on the body style was produced from 2002 to 2008. The Z4 replaced the Z3 and is the third model in the Z Series. Initial models were in the E85 (roadster) body style, with the E86 (coupe) body style being added in 2006.
