DeVille denoted Cadillac‘s mainstream model, as it had been since it became a separate series falling between the Calais and the Sixty Special and Eldorado. The third generation Cadillac DeVille began in 1965. Altohugh it was redesigned it rode on the same 129.5-inch (3,290 mm) wheelbase with tailfins that were canted slightly downward, and sharp, distinct body lines replaced the rounded look. Also new were a straight rear bumper and vertical lamp clusters.
